Understanding law through economics.Advancing policy through evidence.

The Bangladesh Society for Law and Economics (BSLE) is an interdisciplinary academic and research initiative that brings together legal scholars, economists, researchers, policymakers and practitioners to promote rigorous scholarship and evidence-informed policymaking in Bangladesh.

Who we are

BSLE is being developed as an academic and research platform for law and economics in Bangladesh. Its work asks how legal rules, institutions and public policies shape economic incentives, behaviour, institutional performance and social welfare, and aims to contribute to effective governance, equitable development and informed policymaking.
